The toe code worked on the first try last night

I have had episodes every Sunday morning for two years. Last night I heard the buzzing start and instead of panicking I just wiggled my left big toe over and over. My partner noticed within about twenty seconds and said my name. Total episode: maybe forty seconds instead of the usual two minutes of terror. Writing it down so future me remembers it works.

This matches what I do. The key for me was rehearsing the toe movement while fully awake so it becomes automatic.

Great that you logged the duration. Timing it makes it much less scary because you see it really is short.
